The JEB Stuart Drama Boosters was established to promote and encourage community support of the JEB. Stuart High School Drama Department, with the following objectives:
– Assist and support the drama teachers so they can develop and maintain a thriving, rewarding, and educationally-rich theater department.
– Involve the school and outside community in supporting the Drama Department.
– Supplement school and school board support of theater activities.
– Encourage student participation in the Drama program and encourage student and parent/guardian participation in Drama booster activities.
The Drama Boosters usually meet the first Tuesday of every month in the Black Box theater at 7:00 pm.

We are always in need of volunteers in the following areas:
Volunteer Opportunity Descriptions:
Chaperone Committee Chair: The Chaperone Committee Chair is responsible for acquiring Booster or non-member volunteers to chaperone after school, pre-production rehearsals during tech week and the talent show. Chaperones may also be requested by the drama teacher for school-sponsored field trips.
Chaperone Volunteers: Parents who select this box are indicating they may be available to chaperone school trips.
Concessions: Sells concessions before the show and at intermission for all Drama performances (Haunted House, Improv Nights, One Acts, Spring Play)
Publicity: Helps with printing and distribution of posters, yard signs, and sandwich boards. Assists with publicizing event to local newspapers, email list servs and other media outlets.
Set Construction: Helps with building set and props at Tech Build (after school hours 2-5) and Community Build Days (weekend hours – Saturdays). Duties may include: supervising and mentoring student construction, use of saws, screw guns and other power tools, painting, gluing and other crafty skills.
Costumes: Assists with costume procurement and construction. Duties may include picking up costumes from neighboring schools and community groups; shopping for fabric or costume pieces; sewing and altering of existing costumes.
Makeup and Backstage Monitor: Assists prior to the dress rehearsals and shows with makeup, hair and monitors backstage activity.
Fundraising and Sponsorship Chair: Coordinates volunteers to reach out to community members, local businesses and other community groups regarding sponsorships and program ads. Helps to coordinate restaurant nights throughout the year as needed.
Fundraising and Sponsorship Volunteer: Assists the Fundraising & Sponsorship Chair by reaching out to community members, local businesses and other community groups regarding sponsorships and program ads. Assists with preparing and executing restaurant nights as needed.
Hospitality Chair: Communicates and coordinates food for tech weeks, community build days, VHSL and Cappies (when applicable).
Hospitality Volunteer: Assists with coordinating, set-up, and clean up of food for tech weeks, community build days, VHSL and Cappies (when applicable).
Membership Chair: Cultivates new members and maintains current Booster membership records.
Membership Volunteer: Assists chair with record keeping and cultivation of new members.
Social Media & Website Volunteer: Assists with promoting Stuart Drama events through social media and updating the website with current information and events.
Volunteer Coordinator: Coordinates procurement of volunteers to help with performances, fundraisers and other events as needed.
